Recently, I have inherited a small family library of Antique Books and custom-bound Folios of late-19th Century Magazines and Periodicals, and I am seeking advice and assistance in manually adding these antiquarian items to my existing CLZ Books collection database.
These antique books and custom-bound magazine collections were published and compiled circa 1860 to 2000 – pre-dating any ISBN-like classification or other database systems – so I will need to describe them manually. In addition to the individual published Books are a number of custom-bound, large-format, leather-bound Folios of periodical editions published in the same pre-2000 era (for example, compilations of individual weekly or monthly installments of Harper’s Weekly and The Atlantic Monthly magazines (1867 - 1875.)
In addition to a manual written description of these materials, I would also like to include contemporaneous digital photographs that I’ve taken of these volumes.
I would greatly appreciate any advice. Many thanks.
