I realize this is a bit OCD, but I was wondering if anyone else would be interested in CLZ adding the option for users to manually enter an episode description for each episode when you select Custom Episodes (if it wouldn’t be too big a hassle for CLZ).
I will use the TV show The Blacklist as an example of what I am talking about. I purchased the complete series on Apple TV last year but CLZ only has the individual season presets, nothing for the full series. I could add 10 different season presets, but I prefer to have all of the episodes in 1 list so I chose the 1st season and then I manually added the rest of the episodes to that season 1 Custom Episodes list. It works great until you view the final page and see the presets for season 1 included a description for each episode plus an image while the episodes I manually entered were missing both. I’m not concerned about that image (though I wouldn’t complain if we had that option;), but I would love to have the option to manually enter an episode description for each manually added episode.

Some other users are interested in adding a custom plot themselves, for good reasons, or for when we just don’t have the serie in Core etc.
But, for your situation where you actually are going to watch 10 seasons in this example, I would strongly recommend adding your seasons per season. You get all the information automatically, and you can mark each episode as watched/not watched as you go.
Not saying we’ll never allow custom plots for episodes, but right now I would not hold my breath.
I don’t know if I am wrong here or thinking of something else. Maybe a feature idea for it, I don’t know.
Could it not be added one season at a time as suggested, and then Merged into one entry after that?
I’ve never tried that on the legacy software either but that could be nifty as a feature for either but I guess if it’s going to be added we know where that would be.
I do see on the web version you can edit the plot and put whatever you want in it. You can add episodes (likely what the OP did) you just can’t add images or episode plot/description.
Merging movie entries into 1 is not possible, and most likely will not be happening in CLZ Movies Web. What if you select Friends Season 3, Stargate Season 2 and Orange is the New black season 2-5, and then merge those? Which title would it get? Which cast list? And remember: the episode list is one single long list of episodes in our app. Let’s make it more interesting: let’s select 4 blu-ray movies as well, and merge those into that 1 single movie entry.. so.. I’m guessing you see the problem with a merge feature (and all of that can probably be solved if we spend some braintime on it with the team, but : what would be the use of such a monster of a single entry with all those movies and seasons merged into it?
A 10 season single entry would, for instance, contain 200 episodes. It’d be a big entry. There’s also no way to see which episode comes from which season, there’s no season data per season, just a list of episodes, no “season” choice dropdowns per episode, all that.
I’m guessing don’t think I understand why one would need 10 seasons into 1 entry. You could use the box set field, or just foldergroup on series and see them all in one folder if you want.

I absolutely understand your point. I am not asking you to automate the process in any manner. I never would have expected or asked for you to allow users to merge different content already up on your site. I was solely interested in allowing users to add a brief description to their manually created episodes. We can currently add individual episodes to our series. We can title those individual episodes. We can add the runtime and original air date for each of those individual episodes. I was just hoping to manually add a brief description to each of the episodes I add to my collection so it looks as similar as possible to the version already available on CLZ.
I think it all comes down to personal preference. I personally prefer Apple TV’s setup where they put all the of show’s episodes into a single directory vs. the Fandango method that creates additional directories for each season of each show. CLZ does have some series that follow this protocol, Breaking Bad is an example.
It really isn’t that big of a deal, I was just hoping I was missing a simple method that was already available to do this. Or, a simple fix CLZ could implement that would give their users access to add a description to each episode they personally create. I was not looking to merge data on your site or anything else that could throw off the process. I have no desire to change the cast/crew or any other part of the data included with whichever season was selected, I just thought it would be reasonable to add 1 additional data entry point for manually created episodes.
On a side note, there are different versions of TV seasons available. Fandango may offer a bonus episode not available via Apple TV. The blu-ray set may include multiple versions of the same episode that are not available in the streaming sources. Since CLZ already allows us to manually add these additional episodes, I just thought it would be reasonable to allow us to manually enter a description for the episodes we add. I wouldn’t expect it to have any effect on any other data in the series.
Most importantly, I don’t want this to cause people to get upset about CLZ. They offer up an amazing product that helps us satiate our obsessions with the streaming media we have purchased over the years.

That is because there is a box set with all seasons - and only if you add it as “one single entry” it will indeed follow what you’re looking for.
For you, this is about streaming services/digital (seeing you’re mentioning Apple TV and Fandango). And I understand that in that case you’d like that.
Our tool is originally aimed towards collectors of physical media. Since there is a box out there with all seasons in it, you are able to “add it as 1 single entry”, which then gives you indeed, this result. Just wanted to explain why you are able to find that one in our online database the way you like - meaning that for Breaking Bad you have a “workaround”.
The Black List might give out a complete all seasons entry on blu-ray for instance, and then you would be able to add it the way you like - but yeah, it seems that one isn’t out there (like many other series don’t have that I suppose).
