Artist name conflict

I didn’t know if this is possible in the system, but can two versions of an artist’s name be tied together so that spelling variations will show in the search?

For example, Alé Garza is in some cases spelled Ale and neither search brings up all of his credits. Having both spellings be recognized would make searching easier since on the English keyboard, it’s difficult to get to the accented letters.

I know I’ve run across a few of these situations so if it’s possible to tie them together on the back end, it would be helpful.

Sure, you can merge artist names in your own app using the Manage Pick Lists screen.

We’ll check the entries in our Core and will merge them there.

I have checked our Core but we only have one entry for this Artist, under his correct name “Alé Garza.” Please check your list inside the app and merge the names when applicable, via the Manage Pick List screen.
