Hi all. Is there a way to search just the movie titles in my CLZ Movies Web database. ‘Search-as-you-type’ does not always bring up all titles containing the text searched and ‘View all results’, can provide an extensive list to troll through where the text can appear in any of the search fields. From this list I usually use my browser’s search capability to find the text in the title I am after. Searching for text in a title is pretty much the only search I do. Is there a way of limiting search results to just those where the text appears in the title? Cheers, Allan
An example is a search in my database of 4300 movies for the word ‘sister’ brings back five or six results with sister in the title in ‘Search-as-you-type’, but not ‘The Better Sister’. Select ‘View all results’ and you get 75 movies, only seven of which contain ‘sister’ in the title, including ‘The Better Sister’.
This is indeed working as intended, and as you describe.
Typing the word will bring 5 results based on the title field only. If you hit enter, it will do a database wide search, searching more fields (including plot). So you will get a lot of results.
With the movie Better Sister I would recommend to search “better sister” - but I understand this is just an example you’re giving and there are situations where you really can’t work around this.
Therefor, on our to-do list (but no promise, or ETA) we’re looking to expand the search box, and let you choose which field(s) you want to search. Then, you could do a title only full search!

Thanks AJ. That would be helpful. Better Sister is a good example where a title search would reduce the steps involved. I only remembered that ‘Sister’ was in the title. Was it ‘The Good Sister’, ‘The Best Sister’ etc. As it is, the workaround is fine, just thought I may have been missing something. Cheers.
