[Fixed] Corrections to "Origins of Marvel Comics"

You have the two recent facsimile editions listed, but both need a couple of corrections. I’ve submitted them through the normal submissions process if that makes things easier.

The very first entry that appears on the screenshot should be changed from “HC” to “TP” and also needs a format change as well. I did my best to research how many printings were done of the original edition published in 1974, so my best guess is the 2024 edition can be listed as TP-G. The only reason each printing is worth considering as a separate variant is because the cover price changed each time a new printing was done. TP-G is missing a barcode, which is:
9781668020111

You can use a generic “2024 Facsimile Edition” as the variant description, or if you want to be more descriptive:
2024 Gallery 13 Facsimile Edition
Origins of Marvel Comcis

Side note: when I was a kid, this is one of the earliest books I purchased and I read it so much it’s falling apart now.

Hi Chris, I noticed your post áfter I processed your submissions. I just now opened this post and I believe I corrected the entries accordingly. If not, please, as always, feel free to let us know! Thank you so much.

Everything appears to be almost correct, with the exception of the entry you have listed as TP-D. That isn’t a trade paperback at all, but a 28 page one-shot comic book that was published in 2010. Marvel decided to give it the same series name as the trade/hardcover series, which is confusing as f*ck.

Marvel should have given that a different name since the contents are all new and a collection of a bunch of one-page origins by creators of the time (which are all really great summaries with awesome artwork!). I have a suggestion to make this less confusing though–what if we just rename this single issue with the series name:

Origins of Marvel Comics (2010 One-Shot)

The contents of creators and characters are all incorrect on the present entry , so is there an easy way to wipe out those tables on your end? Once they are wiped, I can link to your new stub entry and resubmit. I didn’t list out all the characters, but I did list the extensive creator list. Here are clean scans that I did myself of the front and back covers. You don’t need to worry that I copied these from somewhere that will bark about copyright. I’m not familiar with what concerns you guys have to have about the source of cover scans these days, which is why I’m taking time to explain the scans were done by me.

If you decide to list this a different way, just let me know and I’ll link to whatever entry you end up doing and submit all the contents for you to get this accurate again.

I have relocated the entry to a newly created series titled Origins of Marvel Comics (2010 One-Shot) and renumbered the variant listing in Origins of Marvel Comics

Thank you for reporting.
