Hi, as I understood when ‘Custom Fields’ was introduced at WEB version in Music someone mentioned that they would be introduced in APP version.. Is there any time for this.
Would love to know the answer to this question, I use the desktop version and it syncs to the web, however I have a number of albums which are megamixes, so I put in the field the mixer/DJ in the Artist field (image attached) - wil custom fields every be allowed ?
Hi. I try a little ekstra explanation.. CLZ Music web has the ‘custom field’ tab at top.. I was told that it would be introduced on APP at a later point.. But when.
@alinnemann we have just broken ground on creating this for the mobile app. Mobile is just running behind on this feature. It will come. It will just take time. Probably another 2 months (could be quicker, could take longer).
This does not look like custom fields? Headers and subtracks should sync already.
A header just can’t have its own artist on Web - so you’d have to put the artist in the header title if you need that to sync.
So when I go into the desktop and select a mix album, I put the mixer in this field (see screen shot) - Are you saying it should sync ?
No, header artists don’t sync (I stated this).
Only header titles sync.
This has nothing to do with custom fields though, what this topic was about.
Wow I was only asking - custom field or not….I’ll go back into my hole !
Eh.. I didn’t mean any offense, but I got confused by your comment, posted in a topic about custom fields, “just asking” about a different field? My bad.
You are of course welcome to ask question on this forum. But if your question is about something else, please create your own topic. Do not hi-jack someone else’s topic to post your own question. That is not a nice thing to do and also causes confusion among members AND clz crew.
Wow, as I said I was only asking, and I thought the thread was about “custom fields” and as someone had asked the same question how foolish of me to think that I could “hi-jack (strong word) someone’s post and waste time asking the same question again seperately, when I thought they were asking the same - as I said I will go back into my hole, and delete my account from this forum as being a customer for many years, I am clearly in the wrong with the strong choice of wording for the responses ! thanks guys…
So, this all started where you asked an unrelated question in someone else’s post. I answer your question (so boom, result for you!) and I mention that I got confused because your question was not related to what this topic was about.
I then get a “wow” from you, as if I said something that is completely amazing and horrible.. or something? And a “I’ll get back to my hole” (I never said you should go away right?)
I then apologize to you, explaining I did not mean any offense. I still do not see offense in my first reply to your unrelated question. But if it was offensive, I apologies and I would like to know how my answer to your question was offensive so I can be more careful in the future with my answers.
On top of that, Alwin explains that you are free to ask questions and that it would be better to create your own topics for your own questions. As you have been a customer for a long time, you know we will always reply and answer any questions!
Again, we’re just explaining.
But then we get another “wow” and you are “going to remove your account”. We never meant any offense, we answered your question, we explained it might be better to create your own topic for your own questions… (since header artists are not custom fields) - and we mean this completely friendly.
About the hi-jack word usage:
We feel using “hi-jack” here is no a strong word, and again my strong strong apologies if this was completely offensive to you - for us this is a normal word of "posting an unrelated issue or question in someone else’s topic - which can cause confusion for the original poster and anyone in the future that might read this topic (And as you can see in the third post: that actually immediately happened). If you feel the word there is too strong: again, my deepest apologies.
Yes, it is about Custom Fields.
Your question however was about something completely different. THAT is the problem.
BTW: “hi-jack” is a word that is commonly used for this behaviour. Not a strong word at all.
So “it was about custom fields”
But something completely different for which I wasn’t aware even though the post referred to syncing to the web and custom fields…ha ha …Remember in life - its not what you say it’s how you say it….
BTW - The very definition of Hi Jacked is to have illegally taken control of a something by force or threats, or to have commandeered something (a meeting, process, or account) for one’s own advantage
None of my post or responses constitute the criteria above, as I clearly state that I would like to know the answer to this question - as I said it’s not what you say it’s how you say it..
Next time someone asks me how is the product, I will say, great product, just don’t ask a question…!
That is completely unfair!
All users are always welcome to ask questions, any question. The only thing we ask for on this forum is to keep things a bit structured and manageable.
Which means, if you have a question, just CREATE YOUR OWN post. Do not just place a comment under an unrelated post from someone else, that is just not a nice thing to do and always causes confusion.
And again “post hi-jacking” is a common term used online to describe exactly what you were doing:
