When sellers don’t put years or cover artist names, its hard to automatically match sales.
Its also tough when they call it cover A, and its actually cover B….

Some other things: You can buy this book all day at under $3 USD.
eBay
MyComicShop
Additionally, when you get into sub $10 books, the whether shipping price is included in the reported sale value or not makes a big difference. That $8.99 was a free shipping with probably about $5-6 going to shipping…. So if you went to a LCS you’d expect to find this book in the dollar bin or maybe in pristine condition for like $3 or less.
i thought you go by sold prices, but i get what your saying,i see the prices your showing me,so it was right all along
thanks mark
We do use sold prices, but that doesn’t mean we automatically link every sale. Those 2 sales you referenced a) didn’t give any sort of year or cover artist or b) had the wrong cover designation, so while we brought them into our database the sales did not initially auto-link to the book for use in the FMVs. We’ve since manually added those sales to the book (one was ungraded and the other was FN). Eventually, we do plan to incorporate available sales prices in our values to the extent books are available on the market for cheaper than previous sales would indicate, but that is not happening right now.
you guys do a great job, covrprice is the best price guide out there
Appreciate it - but man there’s so much more we’d like to do. 2026 should be fun year. Thank you and please, continue to call out anything you see. We’re happy to investigate and provide a solution/answer.
will do,and keep up the brilliant work
