How do I fix the actor thumbnail picture in Movies Web when the actors have the same name but are really two different people? For example in the movie Daisy Kenyon actor John Davidson (1886-1968) is correct. But it shows John Davidson (born 1941) from movie Concorde- Airport ‘79.
I’ve got at least 8 thumbnails to fix!
It would be great if some way of differentiating between more than one person with the same name could be implemented in the pick lists for actor, director and other person lists. For example, an additional subfield for dates. Then each entry could be assigned its own thumbnail picture.
There isn’t a real solution for this I’m afraid. Something we should look at at some point.
You can separate them, but you will have to give them a slightly different name, e.g. “Martha Stewart (1950)” and “Martha Stewart (2000)”.
But you will lose the image for the one you change.
You probably don’t but I still have the desktop program, and its great to fix errors like this. Though I think the fix only shows for me not for everyone else, good luck resolving the issue.
I also found that when I click on the actor John Davidson (1941) I get the IMDb biography for the other John Davidson (1886-1968).
We were able to fix some bad images for 8 John Davidsons we have in our online database just now.
