There are loads of duplication in this series.
Merlin Jones as The Monkeys Uncle is in here 3 times. It’s also in core as it’s own series “Walt Disney’s The Misadventures of Merlin Jones”
101 Dalmatians is in twice. It’s also in as it’s own series “Walt Disney Presents 101 Dalmatians”
PT 109 is in twice. I’m not seeing this in core separately… but maybe I’m just missing it.
Fantastic Voyage is in twice. It’s also as issue #0 of the separate series “Fantastic Voyage”
Goodbye Mr. Chips is in core as it’s own series.
Walt Disney’s That Darn Cat has it’s own series……
X, The Man With The X-ray Eyes has it’s own series……
Without going thru this whole thing item-by-item, I think this Movie comics should just be gotten rid of and the entries moved to the solo series (most of which already exist).
Hi Bob, thank you for letting us know about these. Will work trough them slowly and update you here once worked trough!
Hi @BobBretall, all of the titles here have been split up into their own series. This makes them easier to find. Western used this “Movie Comics” banner/title randomly or not coherently at all. As in not on all of the movie titles released during that time and only on some of the covers. So to have it as the main title doesn’t really make sense. This was quite the undertaking due to the amount of duplicates for a good few of them. It has been done though, thank you for bringing this to our attention!
Thanks, @CLZ_Justin
Easier to find when not bundled into a title not on the cover, especially for collectors not familiar with the weird ways of these old school publishers who liked to reuse official title names to get around some postal mailing regulations.
I’ll make sure I go into my database and remap the one title I have under movie comics to its new name.
