Feature request: Export multiple collections at once

When I want to export my movies to a csv or xml, I can only export the Collection that I currently have opened. It will ask me which movies I want to export, but I have no option to export multiple collections at once.

It would also be nice if the Collection name is also exported in the csv per entry, so you know which entry belongs to what collection.

My use case

I am preparing to drop the desktop application for the XML export. As soon as UDF and the newly announced box set fields are available in when I will switch.

I use the export to generate reports about my spendings (per month and year). However I want to generate an overview of my spendings for multiple collections (currently also not possible in desktop). I also use it to find movies that are in the imdb top 250, so I can identify them and tag them.

Sorry, this is not possible at the moment and not planned either.

OK. I know it is not possible, that why it is a feature request :grin:

Not a big deal. It means I have to export 2 or 3 collections to get a complete overview.

What would be helpful is if you can use a variable in the filename, so you can automatically fill in the collection name in the filename:

beware of illegal characters.

That way I don’t have to manually rename the export for each collection.
