# Feature request

Hi, would it be possible to add more than one default instrument to a musician? I find myself often typing common combinations such as ‘Guitar’ + ‘Vocals’ or ‘Drums’ + ‘Percussion’ and so on. I used to solve this by creating a ‘combi’ instrument, but that is not really satisfactory. Now that I am cleaning up my instrument list, I have been able to ditch over a hundred ‘fake’ instruments so far.

A related question in the current situation: If I manually enter three instruments for a musician on a specific album, will this be overwritten if I change the default instrument for that musician or will that have no effect except for future entries?

I’ll take note of this request to see if we can allow more default instruments per musician.

No, setting instruments in an album for a musician, changing them inside that album, will not change the pick list entry’s default instrument for that musician.

I did not realize this. I had been foregoing instruments for a musician if they didn’t match the default. This is spectacular!
