I think it seems most of the time when a book is a key, it refers to all variants. But for example All-Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder #10, all variants reference the fact that the original printing was recalled. But that would really only apply to the versions that were recalled, right? So should some variants have the note and some not? Or will the system basically not let us do that?
Interesting question. I’ll be curious to hear what the key master says!
On one hand, the corrected issue doesn’t really have the problem, but I assume that might make the corrected issue more desirable as people seek out both versions to see the difference and compare.
The same thing is happening with Elektra, Vol. 2 #3 and with Wolverine, Vol. 2 #131.
But none of Universe X Special: Spidey is marked key.
And I think the story behind the Spidey recall is way more interesting than the Batman or Elektra recall that happened because of bad shading…
This one was an error on our end. I recalled our key reason
In my opinion, recalled books shouldn’t be key if they’re not sought after. But it is info you want show. Until there is something like a note (a not key worthy key status), there shouldn’t be any more of these.
