Perhaps I am missing the functionality but incase not - when scanning in a comic, and the comic is already in the collection, could there be a way/shortcut to the comic already in the collection to edit the quantity?
Currently I have to navigate back to the collection completely before searching and updating the quantity. It would be great if there is an option to open the original entry direct when scanning in a duplicate in addition to the current ‘cancel’ and ‘add as new’ options.
You are not missing anything, this feature doesn’t exist. It is on our ideas list to have that popup have another option, something like “increase quantity by x”! (that way you wouldn’t have to edit the item you already have either)
Looking forward to the eventual realization of this functionality then
A link option to the original entry would be great in addition to something like ‘increase quantity’ popup. As the other editing option like notes and tags can then also be used when needed.
Just a question from me: How exactly would you expect that to work?
Say if you scan (or checkbox) 10 comics in the Add Comics screen, then hit “Add to Collection”, and the 5th one “you already have”. Would it stop adding, and then for just that one show you the “Go to comic” and you can edit it?
And then would it just cancel adding that 5th one? When would it continue to add the rest or would the rest stay in your barcode queue?
I’m only asking to see what you (the user) would expect to happen in this scenario, because right now, you get the popup directly, you just hit what you need, and it will continue adding.
