HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision Pulldown Options

How do we update our existing movie database with these new field options? If this going to be a manual effort for each user? Or, is the ‘core’ going to be updated and push the updates out to all users? Will new movie additions to the database automatically fill in these values?

HDR info has never been provided by CLZ Core. This has always been a manual entry.

With the new ability to set multiple values, that stays the same.

I have to same problem. I own 705 4K UHD-discs. They all have HDR10 (which is the defacto HDR-standard for 4K-titles). Only 1/3 (237 titles) also have Dolby Vision. Although I’m not a fan of Dolby Vision (I think HRD10 gives me a far better HDR-feeling when watching a movie on my LG OLED than Dolby Vision), if a 4K-movie also has Dolby Vision I previously checked the Dolby Vision value instead of HDR10 in the HDR field of CLZ Movies Web. This means that I now have to manually change the HDR-settings of my 237 Dolby Vision titles and add HDR10 as well. I’m hoping for a couple of rainy days in the next weeks…

If you know which movies you need, you could use “Edit Multiple”, tap and hold on a movie, then tap more movies to select them.

Then tap Action, then tap Edit

Make sure to only do the HDR field

And make sure to set the field information so it looks like what you want as end result (so both HDR10 as Dolby Vision.

Still, a rainy day would likely help, as I’m pretty sure you’d have to check them all.

That said: you don’t have to do this, make sure this stays a fun hobby (if you never group by the HDR field anyway, or you don’t “need to know” a movie is also Dolby Vision, then you might as well keep the field as is.

I know. Thanks for your tip about the multi-edit. I just want the data to be correct and above all complete, whether I use it or not.
