Would it be possible to have Linux-compatible versions of your apps?
This with all the Windows 11 mega-problems going on I thought this to be a valuable topic to talk about.
Anyone else have the same opinion?

The Web version runs in a Browser on ALL platforms, including Linux, so there is no need for any other software.
The Windows version of the software is now deprecated and will receive minimal support.
Well if you dropped Windows I guess there won’t be a Linux version …
I won’t be using the web version, it’s a privacy thing.
It would be good. I use Linux too but as @stevej said CLZ team just maintain the offline windows software and do not improve them. So it is sure it will not happen to develop an offline Linux app in the near future. If you want offline app you can use the mobile version and disable sync.
I think this online app hype is not a good direction, although I know and I can accept there is some advantages both developers and users. But we have seen recently how vulnerable is the web, also as you mentioned privacy important for me too. Despite of it I changed to the web app mostly because I want to support the team behind it and they put a great effort to make the best catalog app what I can appreciate.
Does the web version have any of the following features?
I didn’t see them just now in my web database.
Yes, under the “Personal” tab there is a tags field. Also you can make custom fields and set it to tags type.
You can’t create filters but you can use the existing ones which are somewhat configurable.
I mainly use Movie Collector so it’s kind of hard to see how filters would work in this app but no fully customizable filters is a big bummer. Plus like I said I need my privacy and don’t like adding titles using the internet (although they are already online …).
Maybe I can create an offline movie database app using Caffeine AI which is an Internet Computer feature. You just type what you want and the AI writes the code, it’s quite amazing.
