When merging series via Manage Pick Lists, is it possible to do so without losing the full Missing Comics feature? In other words, how do you get the missing comics from both merged series to appear rather than just from the dominant series?
I am afraid that is not possible.
The Missing Comics tool fully depends on the Core Series ID, it uses that to check Core to see which issues exist, then compares is to what you own.
If you merge two series with two different Core Series IDs, you will lose one of those IDs, effectively breaking the Missing Comics tool. That is, it will only check Core for that one remaining Core Series ID.
Ok, thanks for the explanation. I think I will just deal with it the way it is. If not, is there a way to un-merge series?
Unmerging is easy, just select all comics in that series, then use Update from Core from the Action menu. Finally, in the Update from Core settings screen, set the Series field to REPLACE.
