Missing pictures after

I got a new phone today (S25 Ultra) and synced my collection up, but several covers are missing. Do I have to manually find and restore each cover?

I am sorry to hear you are having problems with the images in your CLZ app.

Iā€™m seeing 5231 comics in your Cloud, and the ones missing from your screenshot are also still there, so thatā€™s good news!

Hereā€™s how to resolve the problem on your app.

  1. FIRST: Please open the Settings app on your Android device and navigate to the app list. Select the CLZ app and make sure the ā€˜storageā€™ permission is toggled ON.
  2. THEN from the menu in your CLZ app, sync with CLZ Cloud to make sure all entries are up in your CLZ Cloud.
  3. Now, open the menu, tap Maintenance and then ā€œClear Databaseā€.
  4. Finally sync with CLZ Cloud to download the data and images again from the CLZ Cloud

Can you please let me know if that worked or not?

I went back through, for what feels like an hour, updating the missing books from the core. I think I got all the missing ones, but a few signed books I had taken pictures of are no longer there. There was no ā€œstorage permissionā€ option to toggle on or off in app settings, though.

Storage permissions seem to be on. Do you have (more than) enough space on the device? How much is still free?

Iā€™m thinking those might still be in Cloud though.
Can you give me a couple of example series+issue that should have photos that you made? I can check them for you.

(or you can double check yourself through cloud.clz.com and log in there)

Itā€™s a brand-new 1TB S25 Ultra, plenty of storage.

Falling in love, Barfly, Ghost Machine, Grommets, Guardians are just some that I had pictures of, but are now the default pictures.

Itā€™s not a big deal for now, but for someone later who has way more than me, it may be.

I think the covers not downloading on your first try was a hickup, and something we couldā€™ve fixed differently (update from core is not what I would suggest because of any custom covers a user might have.

After using Update from Core, the comics on your app change, and those will sync back up to Cloud (removing any custom covers you may have had).

Thatā€™s why I was hoping you would try the re-sync (instead of Update from Core), just to retry downloading them all (and not modifying any data in cloud).

But Iā€™m also happy to read that itā€™s okay for you now :slight_smile: grab those signed comics, take some pictures, sync, and all should be good.
