So I used to have the installed version of comic collectorz for windows. I am not currently subscribed for any services. I have the .cmc file for my comic book collection from 2016. I understand there is no installed version anymore and that it is web based. Using the web based or mobile app, could I recover my old collection database with that .cmc file I have?

It took me a bit of effort to find your old purchase of Comic Collector. Seems that you had version 4 back in 2008.

I think I might be able to convert the file for you and import it for you. To make this happen, drop the .cmc file to us. You can send me the file(s) via:

I can then import, show you what it looks like, and then when you purchase CLZ Comics Web or Mobile I can transfer it to your account.

Looks like there are 9214 comics in there with data. Looks good to me.

I’m syncing them now, but also leaving office - so I will have a link for you tomorrow where you can view what is inside.

Did you already decide if you want to use CLZ Comics Web, our web-app that works in a browser? Or CLZ Comics Mobile?

That’s great! Although I was expecting more comics, I thought it was 10K+, maybe it wasn’t and I’m just mistaken. I don’t really know which route is best suited for me at the moment, I think I’ll just get the combo with mobile and web based.

If you’re happy, let me know when you got the combo (or just mobile, or just web), and what your username or clz user number is, (either via email support or here), and I can transfer the comics into your account!

I’ve now put all the comics in YOUR database.

To get them on mobile, all you have to do is tap the menu top left, and hit Sync with CLZ Cloud.

This can take a while with so many comics, but you’ll get there.

During synchronisation, feel free to use the web version on your computer :slight_smile:

The syncing is now stuck at 1914 issues left.
Should i wait it out? Or retry?

That shouldn’t happen. You can just cancel/restart and sync, it will just continue. It should anyway :slight_smile:

I dont know what happened. I have now restarted the sync and it seems to be working
