Hello, I have many vinyl albums in my collection. How can I prevent an album from being displayed as two separate discs (one for Side 1 and one for Side 2)?

The best way forward is to have 1 disc, and use Headers for Side A and Side B.

In CLZ Music Web:

1. Open the album and click Edit.
2. Go to the Tracks tab.
3. If there are two discs and you want one LP: move every track onto Disc 1 (click Disc 2, then checkbox the tracks, then choose “Move to other disc” and pick Disc 1.
4. Now at the bottom, click Add Header.
5. Type Side A (or Side 1). Add a second header for Side B.
6. Drag tracks under (on) the right header. Grab the handle on the left of the track row and drop the track _below_ the header, so the title indents. That means it belongs to that side.
7. Save.

The album stays one disc. The track list shows Side A / Side B as section titles. Track numbers keep counting through both sides (1, 2, 3… then 4, 5 on Side B). That is normal.

Here’s what it would look like in the edit screen:

I much prefer my layout—firstly, because you get the exact number of tracks per side, and secondly, because you also get the exact running time for each side. Isn’t there a way to simply disable the “2-disc” display option? That would be the best solution for me.

The way I described is the official recommended way to add vinyl sides.

We’re currently not planning on adding a feature to hide amount of discs (the amount of discs is also used in statistics, and the number of disc column, and some vinyl albums actually come with multiple “discs”, so hiding it just for vinyl wouldn’t help either - only a “do not count/show amount of discs” per album could work, but that would also skew your statistics).

In that case, just leave it as you like it best of course.

We are thinking about allowing to “not count through with track number per header” - which would resolve that issue you mention you have with using headers.

This would be great if this was added.

I find headers work very well for album sides, but yes, being able to restart the numbers for a header would be handy.
