It increasingly feels to me that a fundamental omission in functionality is the ability to apply retail prices in different currencies to individual books. Why - with a mixed collection of US, UK and European titles - do I have to select just one currency and then have the true data converted into what is effectively false data? Yes, I can do a clumsy workaround and record the true price in the Notes section but it’s tedious. Am I missing something?
Currently, the currency can only be set at the global level and then hold for all books, all price and value fields.
Allowing to set a separate currency for each price or value has been on our idea list for quite a while, and it is likely we’re picking up this project in the future - but I can’t say when this will be right now.
As for the clumsy workaround, I wouldn’t do that in notes.
If you were to want a workaround right now, I would use the Custom Fields feature and create your own field for this. You can create a currency field, and set the currency for it.
The total for custom currency fields just won’t show up in Statistics though. But you know, I thought I’d give a workaround
