Thankfully we get more and more possibilities with more and more tabs. But with it more and more uncomfortable the left and right paging on the edit screen. I see english language is appear with all tabs visible but other languages as Hungarian, Deutsch or Italiano need to page left and right to change tabs. Why so small the web version edit window? We use FullHD and 4K monitors, it is nonsense that we must page left and right just to reach other tabs because of the small edit window. I suggest some solutions:
wider edit screen, it would be the optimal,
an option in settings to change tab names to tab icons only. So text not appear only the icons. It result smaller tabs,
2 rows for tabs, I think it is an ugly solution but at least no need to paging,
as there is no multi user login possibilities moving the “Read History” tab under the “Personal” tab. It is not optimal because there are some language which still require paging, but a bit lesser tabs space require with it.
Are they use small screen or small resolution? I can imagine there are many who use tablets, laptops or phones these are practical but hard to believe they are use small resolution for example 1024x768 or smaller.
Otherwise I see you use max-width: 900px;I try with 1000px and higher but fields are too wide, it is ugly a bit. Maybe the second option would be a better solution, when you know the tabs name simply opt out the tabs texts and display only icons.
Thanks for thinking along! I’m pretty sure using only icons is not the way to go however. Perhaps ditching the icons could work for less room on the tabs themselves though.
Anyway we’ll indeed need to do full layouting of all tabs on all 5 flavours of CLZ Web if we want to allow wider screens. So it’s gonna be a project.
