Switching From Comic Collector Live

That did the trick! Thank you @CLZ_AJ ! I tried a version of what you described but I apparently missed a step. Will keep this in mind on my next attempt, thanks again!

Hi @CLZ_AJ , happy Friday :). I’m having a blast linking all my books. I’ve run across a challenging one and would love your thoughts.

First: I own every DC treasury from the 70s-80s except two. Here are the issues I’m having:

  • Because the numbers are odd “C-25, F-4, etc”, apparently CLZ can’t read the letters so each issue on ‘my side’ shows as “0”.
  • For Limited Collector’s Edition I can get around this - it allows me to link issue by issue and that appears to be working.
  • For Famous First Edition, there is no option to link issue by issue. There IS an option to link the whole series, but it doesn’t match to any issue since it sees all of mine as “0”.
  • For All New Collectors Edition, apparently CLZ lists this as Limited Collectors Edition - but regardless, I have the same issue as with Famous First - no issue by issue link option and it ignores when selecting the series due to the "0"s.

Any ideas? Would it be easier to just remove all 3 series from “my side” and then I just add them?

As we must have said before: in many cases, adding from scratch is much easier and faster than going through the hassle of trying to Link to Core.
However, if you have personal data imported (like purchase dates, purchase prices, grades, etc…), then linking may be better.

For the series with issue number problems, have you tried just editing the issue numbers first, and then link?
But… if the issue numbers were not imported at at all, how would you be able to link anyway? I mean, then you cannot discern the issues anymore, right?

Thank you @CLZ_Alwin ! I should note that I don’t have any personal information added to these comics. If I just want to add the treasury titles directly, how do I remove those entries from the imported CCL data? Or should I wait until I’ve linked everything else and then what’s left on the CCL side can just be removed?

Assuming you are using CLZ Comics Web, you can remove any comics by selecting them, then choosing Remove from the action bar.

NICE! Thank you very much @CLZ_Alwin ! I didn’t realize removing the title there would remove it from the list of titles to link. Perfect! That will help me clear most if not all remaining issues. Thank you for the help!!
