User created fields and backups

I have user-created fields that I am concerned get backed up with everything else.

I don’t see where the CLZ Comics Cloud has the option to include user-created fields in its csv, txt, or xml backups. If that’s correct, I was wondering where I could find the user-created information stored locally on my pc so I can manually back that up.

Thanks.

User Defined Fields do not sync with CLZ Cloud.

If you are considering moving to CLZ Comics Web, we do offer a one time import for your user defined fields. Let me know if you’re interested in that.

As for where they’re stored on PC: they’re in the .cmc database file, just like your comics.

Thanks for the info! I’m not quite ready to move to the Web version, but not that far from it either …

In the meantime, is there any way to access or export those fields from the .cmc. file (for backup or global editing purposes)?

Global editing? You can do that inside Comic Collector. Or am I missing something?

Backup: the CMC file would be your backup, it can only be opened in Comic Collector.

File > Export to > TXT can export data fields, including User Defined FIelds

File > Export to > XML would also be something you could try if you understand XML.

Lastly: you can not import changes you made to TXT/XML files back into Comic Collector - because the import in Comic Collector can only add comics as new comics.
