Hi all - got around to adding my HCs/TPBs/etc. and found a few things:

  1. Buddha (from Vertical Comics): there are soft covers for issues 1 and 2 (i.e., not just hardcovers). Could you please add TP/SC or similar.
  2. Here’s the cover for Barbara, Digital Manga - that’s missing in Core:

  1. Some issues in Usagi Yojimbo HC / TP (Dark Horse):
  • I don’t understand why there are 4 different “9TP-A”, “9TP-B”, “9TP-C” and “9TP-D” in the title as they appear to be redundant/identical. Is there something I’m missing?
  • There is a different edition of 9 that came out in December 2010 that has a different cover. I can post it if it’d be useful.
  1. Issue 7 and 8 are missing from Usagi Yojimbo Vol. 4 TP. Issue 7 is included (incorrectly, I think), as the #TP issue in Usagi Yojimbo: The Crow. I think this is incorrect as the remainder of the issues are in the title Usagi Yojimbo Vol. 4 TP. Issue 8 is entitled “Ten Thousand Plums”. I can scan the cover. Note that Issue 8 is not included as a TPB in Usagi Yojimbo: Ten Thousand Plums. Please update accordingly if you agree.
  2. Two trade paper backs for Usagi appear to be missing or should be included elsewhere: “Space Usagi: Volume One: Death and Honor” and “Space Usagi: Volume Two: White Star Rising”. Should these be included in the comic run or separately?
  3. Sometimes the collected HC/TPB is included in the comic title (for Usagi and for e.g., Locke & Key, where the first 5 HC collected editions are in the comics title and the last one is separate, Alpha & Omega) and sometimes not. Is there one right way?
  4. There’s a duplicate title in core: The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Book of the Dead : Phantom Eagle to Zuras should be removed as it’s already included as issue 10 in: The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe.
  5. Acme Novelty Library HC is missing the full name of the title from the indicia which is: The Acme Novelty Library: Final Report to Shareholders and Saturday Afternoon Rainy Day Fun Book.
  6. It Was War Of The Trenches is missing part of the title, it should be: “It Was The War of the Trenches”.

So I been going trough tons of HC and TPB’s, correcting and adding a bunch of different printings. However the indicia is not always included with Ebay listings. So for #8TP you can see all of the different printings. But for #9 I unfortunately was not able to find which printing it is. You can differentiate them by the layout of the front and back, back cover (color) and by the cove price. This is all correctly noted in Core

We are aware of these, however - especially regarding mini series - we try to add the TP and/or the HC with the series itself as much as possible.
To answer your question; regarding your own local database, the right way, as you say it, is the way you prefer :slight_smile:
