I am adding some collectables to my Movie collection which clearly aren’t movies. When searching for images online nowadays WEBP images are used quite often. So I downloaded a couple of images which are WEBP instead of JPG.
When I upload this image as cover in the application it works fine:
also cropping works fine:
When you save it by clicking on OK (right bottom button), the image is gone:
When syncing to mobile, the mobile thinks it is an “custom cover” (checkbox set), but no “cover” is present.
The web application gives no indication or error that WEBP is not supported. I expect to either automatically convert it to jpg or reject webp at all.

WEBP is supported, should work when you upload it and directly save it.
However when you crop the WEBP, then it breaks. I’ve taken note of this bug to be fixed.

The bug with cropping a webp file and not saving has now been fixed, can you give it another go?
It is partially fixed, cropping and saving now works.
New bug: After cropping my WEBP with a transparant background, the background is replaced with black.

Okay, I’ve put it on the bug list, thank you.
I think CLZ just needs to create a statue/figure/toys database product now.
Another effect is that it breaks the Desktop app:
When you click on the image icon:
It is missing the file extension.
As a user I would expect the incompatible images are converted (on the fly) to a format that is compatible.
