The [guidelines](https://clz.com/comics/mobile/manual/1/en/topic/guidelines) on the web state the following: “Submit JPG images (not PNG) and keep the image file size below 800kb and below a resolution of 1000×1000px.”

1. Doing a search on these forums seems to indicate that the files should actually be be less than 500kb. Anyone have an idea which is correct?
2. Do we know why there is a resolution limitation in addition to a kb limitation? In creating some scans, I believe I am able to make higher resolution files still under the kb limitation. I can see how mobile may not really need a higher resolution because most are on small phone screens, but I would have thought the higher resolution (so long as still under the kb limit) would look better on large iPads and on computers/the web.

Thanks!

(Sorry if this is not quite the right forum, but I wasn’t sure there was a better place.)

It’s a guideline, you can submit higher resolution if you like. When we deliver images through “Add Comics” a resized version is delivered anyway, we don’t deliver the image that was submitted “as is”.

I recommend just submitting what you like, and use our forum here as well to report errors or missing comics if you like!

RE: resolution - sounds good.

RE: file size - is it 800kb or 500kb? (Or does it not matter than much?)

Either should go through!
