After huge problems with accessing Music Collector following purchase of new computer finally progressed a long way in restoring data. Now after freeing up space on OneDrive can no longer access Music Collector - see attached screenshots re error messages (only permitted one screenshot - sorry). Help please.
I’m sorry to hear you’re having an “Access Violation” error. This is likely not related to access to onedrive, Access Violation means the program has crashed internally.
Please follow the steps below to try and resolve this issue, this process will affect some local settings in your software such as the width of columns, but your database will not be affected.
-
Click the Windows start icon and type ‘regedit’ into the search box, then press ENTER.
-
Locate the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Collectorz.com > Music -
Select that “Music” folder entry there and delete it!
-
Download and install Music Collector from your My CLZ page:
https://my.clz.com -
After installing, you will have to unlock the software. Fill in your username/password to unlock the software.
-
Before actually opening your database, try adding one album to this empty database, just to check if it all works fine!
-
Now, reopen your database: Click File > Open then locate the database file in order to get things working again.
Let me know if that works!
Thanks AJ I will hang on to this as I suspect the issue will occur again. In the meantime have restored database but having issue with images - request (246968) which is being looked at. Thanks again,
