Access Violation when changing from no folder to any folder option

Just recently I get an error in the desktop version. It is an access violation error. If I switch the display back to No Folders. it works fine. I am on the latest version, and I have the desktop version on a different computer that works fine. I can sync, update, etc. on the one with the error, I just cannot change the sort/display option to any other folders.

Guess no one from CLZ monitors these forums? Or maybe need more information? When No Folder is selected, things work fine. but If I change the drop down to any other folder option I get the error.

Yes, exactly the same happening to me, Changed to No Folders and all back to normal

Sadly, there’s not going to be any further development in Music Collector, so I can’t see this being fixed any time soon

There is a difference between “no further development” and “fixing bugs”.
And this seems to be a Bug to me.

If i am not mistaken, CLZ said to not make any further development, but agreed to keep the Desktop Programms running, which in my humble opinion includes fixing Bugs.

So i am wondering why there was no asnwer from anyone from CLZ for such a long time.

Guess I will use Discogs and back to a spreadsheet for anything I cannot track in Discogs. Been using CLZ Book since v6, Comic since v4 and Music since v8 for desktop. Guess it’s time to move on.

Does this mean that if you ever, maybe inadvertently, select the ‘no folders’ view you can never go back to folders, of which I use primarily artist. Within artist I have stuff listed by year of release which gives some structure.
I don’t know what the no folders view looks like: I’m guessing a huge list of individual items.
This issue sounds like a major flaw - maybe an unstall and re-install will help? Again don’t know what the default view might be after reinstallation.
Being in ‘grandfather’ mode not really sure if I should be commenting.
