I feel these should at least be minor keys:
1st Neal Adams art: Archie’s Joke Book #41
1st George Perez art: Astonishing Tales 25 (back up feature)
1st Mike Zeck art: Barney & Betty Rubble 11
1st George Perez DC cover: Green Lantern 132 (came out the same month as Flash 289 which is marked as George’s 1st DC work)
1st John Romita Jr cover art is Iron Man 113, I believe
1st full JRJR issue is Iron Man 115, I believe though I think he had a feature in a Spiderman annual before this.
1st Kurt Busiek: Green Lantern 162
1st Walt Simonson (fan art): Magnus Robot Fighter 10
1st Mark Bagley: Nightmask 9
1st Bagley cover: Nightmask 10
1st Ron Marz: Silver Surfer annual 3 (1990)
1st Roy Thomas: Son of Vulcan 50
1st Peter David: Spectacular Spider-Man 103
1st Jim Steranko: Spyman 1
1st John Ostrander: Warp 1
@CLZ_Justin just wondered if these might be added as keys. Or at least some of them.
Hi, thank you for making this list. Haven’t had a chance to go trough them yet, it’s definitely a good bunch of them! Will do my best to go trough them at the end of the week.
What’s your source for Neal Adams being credited in Archie’s Joke Book #41? He’s not credited there on comics.org. He started at #44 on that title. We have this as his 2nd published interior but I think this might be incorrect.
I believe Overstreet had it listed that way, but also Neal Adams showed me which page he did when he signed it for me.
Oh that changes things
. Do you have a picture of the page?
I can get you one when I get home, but it’s very much in the house style. It’s a one page joke called Scrambled Yoks!

No, it’s mostly just headshots of Archie if I recall correctly. I see conflicting info about it being 41, 44, and 48. However, I did take it to him based on Overstreet, and he signed it and showed me the page because I couldn’t tell it was him. He had no trouble finding it either.
GCD said 44 or 48 but had no credits listed for this one pager in 41.
This is it, I believe. I forgot about Reggie
Okay cool! If he told you himself, then that’s what we have to go by!
He did…I can show you the signed cover and Neal wasn’t one to sign a book he didn’t work on.

For Mike Zeck, I found a magazine that pre-dates Barney & Betty Rubble #11 by a few months. I’ve added it as “1st published interior art by Mike Zeck in standard sized comics”

We’re going by release dates not cover dates. Green Lantern came out 2 weeks later. GL is still his 1st cover.

Marvel Team-Up #56 came out a few months before Iron Man

Really? Can you tell me what magazine that is?
That’s what I meant on the GL Perez. I wondered how they decided which was 1st overall based on cover date. I still thought his first cover was pretty important!
