Rocco has worked his way up in the ranks of the mob, but in 2024, the Italian mafia is a shadow of its former glory. With cell phones and new technology, the world has become one big wiretap. Keeping his actions secret and avoiding rats has become nearly impossible. Even Manny DiBella, Rocco’s childhood best friend, has now become an informant.
Recently divorced and trying to redefine his life, Rocco discovers Manny has relocated. He seeks his old buddy out for revenge, but instead discovers that Manny’s family has sought protection from something dark and strange.
Rocco escapes the terrifying and disorienting encounter with his life, but finds himself hunted and controlled by demonic spirits that appear to him as hyenas. As Rocco desperately attempts to keep his own crimes secret, these spirits begin to use him as their puppets for acts that chill even this mobster’s blood.
Rocco has already sold his soul, but now it’s truly in the devil’s hands.
