Plot:
Scandinavian myths mainly tell about gods called the Æsir, whose domain is lordship and war. But there was also a second divine line, more mysterious and somewhat on the margin of the stories preserved in the two Eddas. Those are the Vanir, who are in charge of abundance and fertility, and are associated with the powerful magic called seiðr. Between them and the Æsir arises an inevitable conflict, which cannot be resolved by force. However, an end to the feud is necessary for the emergence of an ideal society, composed of both rulers/warriors and farmers.
Introducing the Vanir and the story of their great war with the Æsir. Sent by the gods of fertility, Gullveig arrives to destroy Odin’s peace of mind and threaten the inhabitants of Asgard and Midgard with magic that the great lord of the Æsir will not be able to resist.
