When using the new (?) scanning dialogue i get the greenbox for the numaeric and the red stripes for the barcode, but then nothing happens I don not get the add x books option? How can I fix this?

That sounds like it is finding the code, but perhaps it’s unclear enough.

Do you have this with all books you are scanning? Can you try like 5 of them?

On what kind of device are you?

Have tried with 5+ titles, same problem each time. Iphone.

Can you make a video of your scan process? As we haven’t heard complaints about this and in general the scanning seems to work a lot better on iOS and Android phones.

With the video I can hopefully spot a problem.

Here’s how you can make a screen recording on your iOs device:

  1. Go to Settings > Control Center, then tap + next to Screen Recording.
  2. Open Control Center (swipe down), tap the “Record” button, then wait for the three-second countdown.
  3. To stop recording, tap the red status bar at the top of the screen, then tap “Stop”.

It seems the “queue” where the barcode should be going is not visible on your screen.

Can you tap on the “Type ISBN” tab at the top, and See if the ISBNs do show up there?

They don’t. I suspect that the install of the app on my phone is corrupted. How do I make afresh downloaD and install of the app? Hav tried via Appstore, but the problem persists.

Thanks for testing that.

I think there is a bug on smaller screen iPhones, like the SE, and on older iOS versions.

So in order to further investigate:

  • Which exact phone do you have?
  • Which exact iOS version do you have?

Is this an SE1, SE2 or SE3?

(there are 3 generations), if you have the modelnumber from settings I could look it up too!

Thanks for that. We currently do not have that exact device here.

What I would like for you to try is the following:

  • Open the app, go to the Add Books screen.
  • Tap the “ISBN” tab.
  • Now, hold the phone side-ways, then rotate it back to portrait mode.
  • Does the queue now come into view?

Do you use anything like bigger fonts, bold fonts, or other accesibility features on your iPhone?
