Much of my collection is made up of foreign films. The main screen of Movie Collector shows flags to designate the film’s country and language. However, a great many of these flags are not easy to identify. I often have to open the film’s edit page to see what countries they represent. It would be so much easier if I could just roll my mouse over the icons and have the name of the country and language pop up.

I think a mouseover would indeed be helpful here. I’ve taken note.
Currently on Movie Connect, our web-app, we don’t use flags in the details panel. Might be something to consider to perhaps go to Connect, and use that?
(I still like your idea of course, just wanted to give you another way here)
