When you add movies by barcode, the field clears once the movie is added to your database
When you add by title, the title field remains once the movie has been added
You have to manually clear that title when adding the next movie
In the Add Movies screen, Adding by title, when you type a title and hit enter, it does a search on that word. You can still modify your search when the results aren’t good enough.
After adding the search is not cleared, because there might be cases where you want to add another movie based on the same search. Say for instance if you search “Harry Potter”, you might wanna click all of them and add them. So indeed, the search results, and the search words in the search bar remain.
I think that’s what you want here.
Now when adding by barcode, you type/scan a barcode and it gets added to a queue of items. So the field goes empty so you can add another barcode to the queue of barcodes, and then later add all those movies in one go. That is intentional, as this way of adding is often used to add a batch of items.
