Additions to Artist List

When I can’t find an existing Artist Name in the pick list, and choose to Add New Artist, is that stored purely in my personal database? i.e. Does this mean the Core list of Artists remains incomplete?

If so, how do we advise missing Artist Names? (There are many omissions, even very obvious/popular artists, especially classical music composers who are known to almost everybody).

Yes, only for your own database. You are not able to directly add or insert artists in our Core online artist list.

I recommend not to worry about this. Just focus on your own collection having the right data as you would like to have it.

Artists get inserted through our own systems on how we obtain albums, and through our mirror through Discogs.
