When I am adding a movie by barcode, sometimes i get a dialog box about said title already in the database.

For example today I added ‘The Manchurian Candidate (2004) bluray’

and the dialog box states: “The Manchurian Candidate” already exists in your database, Would you like to add it anyway? It is actually referring to The Manchurian Candidate (1962).

Is there an option to check by barcode instead of name so that I don’t see this dialog box as often as I do?

I’m afraid that option is not there, and this was indeed something that was noted in Movie Collector in the past, but an improvement on the system just never made the cut.
