When I unchecked this option and return back to Settings, it is checked again.

For common Readers - Ok, but is the Reader Me any special one?
Because still is not possible to Edit, Delete and Merge Me Reader.
Thanks for trying that out. Good to hear the setting thing is now working.
The “Me” reader is indeed a special one, introduced so that when the new version rolled along you would at least have a reader for all your previously entered Read It: yes books.
The idea is that you would be able to edit the “Me” reader. But I see it’s not working.
I’ve asked my colleagues to look into it. I’ll get back to you.
