App crashes and no longer opens

Tried a couple times. Same result. iPhone 13 Pro.

After attempting to add a record and saving, the app crashes and will no longer open. It attempts to open app but then just shuts down again. I reinstalled the app and tried the same vinyl and got the same result.

Sorry to hear that, could you tell me which vinyl has this problem? I can maybe find out what is happening via your Cloud, fix it, so you can sync the change down.

For now:

  • do your reinstall trick again, do not tap on that bad album
  • let me know which artist/album title is causing the problem and I will take a look!

Thanks for getting back to me. The album that is giving me issues:

Bryan Adams - Cuts Like A Knife (45)

Thank you.

I was trying this out on my side, with your collection, but I could not reproduce this.

How do you add it exactly? Could you show me this with a screenshot of the album you’re trying to add?

Does the web program work the same as the app? I edited all the info needed via the web software and didn’t have any issues. Only thing I haven’t changed is photo of the front and back covers which I’m about to try via the app. I’ll let ya know if I have any issues. Thanks again!

Well the mobile app has different code behind it as the web-app, but for you, the user, all information can just be added on either side and sync.

If it still crashes on iOS iPhone, I might need a video or something. But let me know!

Now it is crashing on any entry.

Sorry to hear that @tmattau , to investigate this issue I would like to get a crashlog from your device. Here’s how you can obtain one:

  1. Reproduce the crash.

  2. Open iOS’s settings app.

  3. Choose ‘Privacy & Security’

  4. Choose ‘Analytics & Improvements’

  5. Choose ‘Analytics Data’

  6. Pick the latest entry from the list which corresponds with the crashing app. The file name should correspond with the app, and the current date.

So the filename begins with “CLZ”

  1. Tap the ‘share’ button. (The square icon with the arrow pointing out of it).
  2. Select ‘Mail’ in the menu that pops up.
  3. Send the e-mail message to:

Thanks for sending that in. We’ll look into it and I’ll get back to you once I know more!

We’ve found the issue, it is caused by having an & in the Matrix fields.

We’ve fixed the problem and we expect a fix to roll out for iOS within 2 weeks (probably within 1, but I can’t promise this).

To workaround the problem you can remove any ampersand characters in matrix fields for now, or leave them be and only use the Web version until the new Mobile version comes out.

@tmattau this has now been fixed as part of the v10.3 update we did for CLZ Music iOS.

Your app may have updated itself already (check the menu top left, the version number is at the top).

If it hasn’t updated itself yet, here’s how to force the update:

on iOS:

  1. On your device, open the App Store app.
  2. Search “CLZ” and select your CLZ app.
  3. Tap “Update” to update the app.
