Are custom fields possible in the Web software?

I love the desktop software, but call me slow - I just realized that it’s no longer downloadable and the updates have slowed to a trickle, so I’m guessing the mobile and Web software is preferred. I have the mobile app and use it sparingly when I’m out and about and need to look something up in my collection quickly. When I tried the Web software a few years ago, I just didn’t like it as much as the desktop software. At the time it wasn’t nearly as configurable from what I recall - maybe things have changed.

Question 1 : Of all the features I care about the one I care about most is the ability to add custom/user-defined fields. Is that available in the Web app? For example, if I wanted to add multiple price fields to each comic book/record, would I be able to do that?

Question 2 : Assuming the answer to Question 1 is “yes, it supports custom fields”, would the custom fields from the desktop app be visible in the Web software or would there be any way to import those values into the Web software?

Thanks!

The addition of custom fields would be amazing!!!

Definitely has changed a lot if it was years ago!

I’m afraid not right now, but we do plan to add user defined fields actually, and probably a “one time export” from the desktop version to get your custom fields in Web.

Semi-related, what about changing the label on existing fields? There are some fields I use but I don’t use them for what they were originally intended for.

Thank you, and that’s good to hear. I’ll keep using the desktop and mobile software for now and wait to be a convert. I appreciate the response!

This is currently not planned, but it lives on the ideas list.
