Hi, I was going through and updating info for some of my books and I noticed that on one of the books, Lord Darcy, by Randall Garrett, actually had the picture for another author, Eric Flint, who was an editor on the book. Garrett was the only author listed in the book details. I have several different versions of this book and all of those pictures actually were Randall Garrett. So I thought it might have just been a ‘glitch’ of some sort when my data was ported over from the desktop application, so I tried deleting the author, saving the book, then going back in and adding the author back. However, the same incorrect picture shows up. I tried this on one of the books that had the correct picture, and the correct picture shows back up when I add the author back. I didn’t want to have to delete my book and add it back for something as seemingly inconsequential as a wrong picture, so I added another copy of the book from the core, and the copy I added had the wrong picture. However, I noticed that the copy that I added also had the editors listed as authors as well, so that may be why Eric Flint’s picture showed up there. I tried deleting all the authors except for Randall Garrett, and it still showed Eric Flint’s picture. So I deleted that ‘test’ book, then added another copy that only had Randall Garrett listed as the author and sure enough, the correct picture of the author showed up. I think what happened on that one copy of the book, is I added the one with all 3 authors listed and then removed 2 of them. I supposed I could delete and add back, with only the correct author, but for now, it’s not that big of a deal. So I don’t know if this is actually something that needs looking at, but I thought I might post this so if anybody else is having the issue, this might explain it. Let me know if this is something that CAN be fixed. It’s not a major issue at all, just odd. I can get by for now with making sure only the main author(s) are listed when I add a book.
Thanks as always, and apologies if this has been discussed previously.
