I imported a database of +3000 books . That database used Surname, First name for authors. When I add new books using the ISBN scan, it adds them First name then Surname. Can I change the way the ISBN handles the authors names?
I went into your settings and set your CLZ Books Web up to always show Surname, Firstname
That would likely give you all your authors the way you want to, correct? (You can check this now in your account)
Thanks for the help. But when I tested it and it came out backwards. It came out First Name, Surname instead of Surname, First Name.
The setting only works for your main list of books in your collection, and in your details panel when viewing details of the book.
If that doesn’t work can you send me a screenshot?
(the major problem here by the way is because the import wasn’t done correctly, it should’ve been entered firstname lastname, as our system then automatically fixes that to lastname, firstname for the sort title of the author, - so that’s why I’m trying to help you with an alternative (because our Add Books screen does it correctly, but your previously imported ones werent correct I’m afraid).
