Hi
I usuallz do not use the Back Covers.
Is there a way of not importing them or at least not to show them on the view as it was possible in Connect?
MArco
They’re not actually imported: CLZ Music Web just checks if our Core has a back cover, and shows that information for you.
You can edit the album and then remove the back cover though, per 1 album.
Or, drag the “details panel” smaller and then it will be hidden under 2 dots!
Thank you for your quick answer.
I was aware that CLZ Music Web does not import the back covers.
But anyway, editing the albums is what I started to do, but with about 5’500 albums in my collection, I will not do it. And dragging the detail panel to make it smaller is probably kind of a joke.
Finally, I really start regretting having changed from Music Collector to CLZ Music Web, as it doesn’t offer many of the features I was used to in Collectorz.
Is there a way to go back to Collectorz?
But, CLZ Music Web does work with back covers, it adds them during adding from Core, same as Music Collector Windows does.
I’m sorry I don’t understand how it is kind of a joke? Have you tried it, and just didn’t like it? Because we have it on the ideas list here to force “disable displaying of back covers” in the details panel! So that would be a good solution for you if you just never want to see or have back covers perhaps?
Can you let me know these many features that you were used to? Maybe I can explain where they are in Web - or alternative ways of doing things.
Yes, contact us through help.clz.com and one of my colleagues can help you out.
I tried it, but making the detail panel smaller, just lessens its interest. I must scroll to see all the details. On the other hand, having an option to either show both covers or having the two dots seems great, but not by making the panel smaller.
- The “Search” feature:
In Collector you could make searches in many ways, for example by Studios, to find out what albums were recorded at “The Montreux Festival” or at “Rudy Van Gleder”. - Artists:
- In Collectors Album Artists and Sont Artists used to be the same and in Songs you could insert them using the Artists Pick List, having more than one box for them.
- By adding a new album, Collectors would recognise the artist in my Pick List and add it. Now I must change it manually, adding the “new” artist, and then delete the “old” one.
- Preview panel:
There are no view options. For instance, I’m interested in the “Original Release Date”, it shows only the “Release Date”. - Tracks:
Collectors use us titres subtitles, CLZ doesn’t. - Capitalsation
By importing Albums from Core it always uses the “Auto Capitalization”. I have unchecked de checkbox in the settings with no effect.
Maybe you can help me, before I swich back to Collectors, thank you in advance.
But thanks anyway for the contact information already provided.
For Web we always recommend to click the folder button top left, then click “Studio” to group on Studio, this gives you a filter box top left, and you can type to filter down to the studio of choice. Click on it to see all albums made in that studio.
Indeed, track artists are comma separated. Web does not have a track view, and tracks does not use the artist list.
I don’t understand this one, I could check with examples in your database, or with screenshots perhaps.
Desktop version also doesn’t have this right? Original Release Date is not data we provide through Core
This is indeed not a field in Web
If you uncheck the checkbox for Auto Capitalization in settings on Web, it just grabs the title as is from Core - perhaps the title is wrong in Core?
I think you probably should switch back and stay with the Windows version indeed.
Thank you for these answers, I will get in contact with your colleagues.
Regrds,
Marco
