I encountered this problem when I was cataloging a 6 CD box set: Tchaikovsky, The Great Ballets, conducted by Ernst Ansermet (Brilliant Classics 94031, bar code 5028421940311).
When I scanned the bar code, the album retrieved by the app on my tablet was “Oscar Peterson: The Absolutely Essential Collection.” When I opened the album’s disc list, I discovered there were seven of them, the Peterson album followed by the six discs in my Tchaikovsky box set.
After I deleted the Peterson album’s disc, everything looked good until I discovered that CD3 and CD6 had to swap places to make the track list read correctly. (The set contains two CDs for Swan Lake and two orchestral pieces, followed by two CDs for Sleeping Beauty, followed by two CDs for The Nutcracker and two more orchestral pieces.)
