When I add the image of a book cover in Book Collector it shows up, I click on use this image and the image appears in the books record. However when I return to the image it is no longer there. The same is happening with my Mobile App. I go to the record, click edit, cover, and then take a picture of the book. It appears in the record, but when I go back to it the image is no longer there. Am I doing something wrong.
I’m not sure how this can happen especially since it’s happening for you on mobile and desktop.
For Desktop:
- How exactly do you add the image? Can you provide me a step-by-step on how you do this?
For Mobile:
Can you show me this in a video?
If you have an iOS device:
- Go to Settings > Control Center, then tap + next to Screen Recording.
- Open Control Center (swipe down), tap the “Record” button, then wait for the three-second countdown.
- To stop recording, tap the red status bar at the top of the screen, then tap “Stop”.
If you have an Android device:
- Swipe down twice from the top of your screen.
- Tap “Screen record”.
If “Screen record” is not there, you might need to swipe right to find it. If it’s not there, tap “Edit” and drag “Screen record” to your Quick Settings.
- Choose what you want to record and tap Start. The recording begins after the countdown.
- To stop recording, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the “Screen recorder” notification.
You can find the files in the Photos app in Library > Movies.
You can send me the file(s) via:
When you go to the record, edit, cover and get the picture, the line above labeled image file is the path where is the picture is stored. Write that down and then save your changes. Go back to the record , edit, cover, is picture gone - yes, click Browse and got to the link you wrote down, is the picture there?
My images in collector are stored in “C:/users/my user name/documents/book collector/images/”. Click Tools, Options and go to Folders, it should show you the paths where everything is stored.
