Box Set with entries in multiple collections

In very rare cases I have a boxset where some of the entries are in one collection, and some entries are in another collection.

Example:

The Flintstones: The Complete Series + Two Bonus Movies

When I am in the collection of Series I can navigate between alle seasons from the box set. However when I click on one of the 2 movies that is in this boxset it loads the movie:

Result:

  • Movie from another collection is shown
  • All results are gone on the list of entries (blank screen)
  • The application did not switch the the Collection where this entry lives.

On Mobile the behavior is different:

  • Nothing happens when you click on an entry in the boxset that is part of another collection.

Not a big deal, but it would be nice if it switches to the corresponding Collection for Web and Mobile.

I do this because I want my series in another collection. I know I can merge Series and Movies in one Collection and use the Folder feature to filter on Series/Movies. But then I constantly see Series when I am working with Movies (or use the Filter system with more Layers of Filtering).

When this happens I know it is in the other collection and switch to that. Anyway, I wanted to let you know :slight_smile: . Maybe you see it as a bug, maybe as a Feature request.

  • For web it just doesn’t understand what its doing, so you will get weird results like you have.
  • Mobile is doing nothing because it can’t find that entry in the current selected collection.

A box set, and its items inside, should all be in the same collection.

It is never meant to switch collections. I will note your feature request to switch collections for both web and mobile.
(but also a bit as a bug, because the result is not desireable as it is now)
