Bulk update movie links

I changed the path to where my movie files are stored. So all movie links in Movie Collector are now incorrect. In fact, the drive they all point to no longer exists.
So I want to update all these links with the new path. I know there is a tool for that, so - Tools, Maintenance, Update File Links, I choose Movie Link in the drop down menu, Next Step - but the app shows no incorrect movie link. I cannot update them.

Am I missing something? Is there a different way to do that?

Hm, the process you’re describing is indeed how it should work.

Can you post a screenshot of the edit movie screen for one of your movies, on the Links tab, showing me the entire path of the movie file where the program thinks it is?

Can you also post a screenshot of the actual file on your computer where I can see the path as well?

And lastly, a screenshot of the empty “Update File Links” screen where you’ve tried finding broken file links?

Actually no, i can’t show you all that because i solved it differently.

I exported the entire collection in xml, edited that file with a search and replace to modify the path of all movie files links, created a new database in Movie Collector and imported that modified xml.
That did the trick.

But essentially, before that all my movies were under D:\filename.mkv, where D: was a network drive pointing to a specific folder on my nas.
I reorganised some things on said nas, and also wanted to change how i access it. So, no D: drive on my Windows PC anymore. Hence, all movie file links were no longer valid. Yet, the Update File Link tool wasn’t showing any broken link. Just an empty list, nothing to update.

Anyway - thank you for your reply, but i’m good now.
