I have 1000 newsletters I would like to be avaible to search online. Right now the Retirement village PVN in Dallas uses CLZ for its library catlog. Is there a way to enter the newsletter? Cathy Roach
Hi Cathy,
You can only do this if you use. “Add Manually”. Here’s how:
- Click Add Books button to open Add Books screen.
- Click the “Add Manually” button, top right.
- You can now fill in all fields as you like it.
- Maybe for “Format” use “Newsletter”? Or for Author? so you can always find them quick.
Alternatively you could click the menu top left, and go to Manage Collections and add a separate collection and add your newsletters in there. Using the steps described above. That way you can keep the newsletters separate from your books in the collection.
Thanks for that info. It will be a big task to enter everything manually. I would like to look at the various fields. I am a librarian but I am not the person responsible to adding to the system here at PVN. Do I need a special account to do that? Can the current system operator here open that kind of account for me?
Thanks, Cathy
I’m afraid I don’t really understand the question Cathy, sorry!
If you need to modify entries in a CLZ Books Web account, you have to just log in to that CLZ Web account and then you can add and modify books.
You can only have 1 account that can edit the database, and you can do everything with it.
You can’t have “sub accounts” that “work” on the same database. It’s always just 1 login, 1 user, as it is aimed as home cataloging software ![]()
Would that explain/help get you on your way?
