Can I edit multiple episodes in box sets

Trying out the move from Movie Collector to Movies Web, I see that all my box set episodes are marked as ‘Watched’ (with no date). I see in fact that they are all marked as Watched in Collector as well (not sure why). Is there any way of editing multiple episodes to mark them all as Not Watched, either in Web or Collector (Desktop)? In Collector the Edit button is greyed out when I select more than one. In Web I cannot seem to select multiple episodes.

Hi @saelwell - there is no “edit multiple” on episodes I’m afraid - I don’t think there is on the old Windows version either…

But.. if you want.. I can likely set ALL episodes for your entire account to “not watched” - would you like me to do that?

Yes please, do clear all the episodes to ‘Not Watched’. If it’s possible, can you clear only the ones with no date against them? I’ve entered about twenty watched dates, but it’s no great hardship if that’s not possible. Thanks,

If I add another box set, is there a default that sets all the episodes to ‘Watched’ and can I change it to ‘Not Watched’?

Thanks, Stephen

I will ask the team to do this. Please do not do anything until I reply. It could be 24 hours.

Also: normal adding of Series, or box sets with series should NOT set the watched to YES for episodes per default. (I’ve just tested this by adding just Season 1 of 24, and it added all episodes as Watched: no)

I’ll be in touch!

This has now been done. We’ve been able to leave 4 database-entries where episodes had “dates” filled in. The rest is now marked as “not watched”.

We’ve also marked them dirty, meaning you can expect sync changes on any mobile/windows device you run to sync our changes to those.

Let me know if you need further help with that (or anything else)!

Thanks, that’s all good. I’ve now migrated to Movies Web, you’ll be pleased to know!
