I have the option to bring up the “complete series” edit box in some views, but not others - am I holding it wrong? I seem to be unable to upload a video showing this - how can I get that to you?

So you’re using the “edit pencil” in the folder panel while folders are set to Series, and it works.
If Series is the “second” field (so foldering, for instance, by Publisher, and then Series, then it doesn’t work.
This is indeed true, and also wasn’t ever programmed (to have edit pencils one level deeper). That said it would be good to be able to do it and I’ve put it on our to-do list (but it might be a difficult one to get in - not sure yet).
