Can't EDIT a movie to update cover or anything else

OK, well first. I restarted my computer. The issue is still there.

2nd. I opened a different browser (Chrome) and it worked just fine like normal. However, I did that request you asked for in Chrome and here’s the results. Even though it says blocked by client, everything still works. I was finally able to edit the artwork on my cover.

The browser I use is Firefox and that’s where I’m having the problem. Again, I didn’t have the problem till the update. Upon opening it, I looked up the information you asked for. It shows the same thing that shows up on Chrome.

However, when I try to edit the cover on Firefox, another error shows up…

I think that’s about it. If this can’t be resolved, I could just stick to using the Chrome browser for CLZ.

Thanks,

Can you please put on your list the American version of the dates?

I’m used to MONTH DAY YEAR.

Thank you

In the edit movie screen it is always Year, Month, Day.

In the details panel, you will see it adapts to your settings (menu top left, settings), and I see you already have it as Month/Day/Year.

Just for filling in, the edit screen is always Year/Month/Day.
I have it on our ideas list to make the entry boxes also follow the user settings.

Thank you. Our developers can look into this now, and check the error messages.

For now you might wanna use Chrome, but I’m pretty sure our people can fix this / it’ll just be after the weekend!
I’ll let you know. Thanks for working with us to find the problem!

That’s odd… unless y’all just added that behavior, my settings already do that. When I set my ‘Date format (when editing)’ field to ‘YYYY (08-31-2025)’, the edit fields follow those settings (see screenshot). I’m using Chrome, so maybe it’s just not doing it in Firefox?

@thebarnman You might try setting that field to one of the other settings, saving it, and then changing it back to ‘YYYY (08-31-2025)’ to see if that causes it to start working. I dunno if that’ll help any, but it won’t hurt to try.

Indeed @JonathanW that should already work. My bad.

I don’t know what you mean when you say “setting that field to one of the other settings.” How do you change the field to a different setting?

Yes, I would love it if the date could be 08-31-2025 as it’s been that way my whole life. The other format is confusing. Anyway, I don’t know how to change it.

What do I click on to change the year to be the months?

I fixed the edit screen formatting for you now.

For anyone else looking to change this, it’s in settings and then "date format (when editing)

Translation is a bit off though.

AWESOME!

I didn’t know where settings are, I think it’s the first time I’ve been in that section. Anyway, thanks for the help and now it’s fixed!

I changed it and I looked at the last three movies I watched and they are now formatted correctly.

Is there a way to put in the date I watched it while entering a movie? It used to have a selection of watched or not watched (or something like that) while I was entering a new movie but now that’s gone.

Now there’s a space for purchase date, but I generally don’t fill that one out. It would be nice if in the same area I could put in the date I watch it since I usually watch the movie I put into the database that day.

Can that be added there?

Huh? You said 'it’s fixed" but it is still wrong now? Is there another bug now?

Yes, open menu top left, look for Pre-fill Settings, click it, then add the Last Watched Date field.

Make sure the screen always shows when entering movies using the toggle at the bottom.

Save it.

Now add a movie and you should be able to add a last watched date for the movie you’re about to add.

Now (not) not. I changed it, sorry for the miss-type.

OK, thanks! I’ll change that part later tonight.

Haha! I was thinking, “Dang! You guys are getting really fast at fixing issues around here!”

Thanks… Taken care of!

So there was still an issue with how the setting for that dateformat was displayed, which is also fixed now.

As for EDITTING, the main problem you had…
This may have something to do with the version of your webbrowser.

We just uploaded a possible fix for this problem!
Can you refresh the page and see if it works for you again now?

If it doesn’t work, can you let me know the version number of your browser?

Yes, it works now perfectly! Not that it’s important now, it says my Firefox is up to date with the version number of 115.28.0esr (64-bit)

Thanks for all your help…

Good to hear it’s working now!

When I check Firefox’ website it seems like 143.0.4 should be the latest version (for Windows 64 bit). Indeed, not that it matters now, but that’s what I’m seeing.

Firefox version 115 is the latest update for Windows 7… The last supported version for that operating system.

Firefox 143.0.4 is compatible with Windows 10 and 11.

Ah.. right. Okay thanks for letting me know!

115.28 ESR version is still supported on windows 7 if I am not mistaken. I think it only gets security updates.
